California Ultimate Travel Guide

Queue up “California Girls” by Katy Perry! California is probably the most spectacular states in the United States for travelers wanting to visit the West Coast. Visiting Cali is a must for Americans and non-Americans alike at least once in a lifetime. The state just has so much to offer and its tourism industry is one of the most developed in the states. One of the largest cities in the country as well as the world’s capital for the movie industry is located in Los Angeles and Hollywood. California is home to the most national parks for all outdoor lovers. It also is home to the vast majority of the big tech companies in Silicon Valley. With so much to do and probably not so much time, you will want to narrow down your visit to California to one main area. I have been to California almost ten times and still have things on my “California Bucket List” I want to check off.

BUCKET LIST EXPERIENCES

    Drive PCH1 to Big Sur

    State Route 1 is a major north-south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California. At a total of just over 656 miles, it is the longest state route in California.

  • Drive (or walk) across the Golden Gate Bridge

    The Golden Gate Bridge is simply breathtaking in person. Seeing a monument used so frequently in films and TV shows, it is really special to see in person. If you are lucky enough to visit San Francisco during Fleet Week, this is a prime spot to watch the Blue Angels perform.

  • Visit the Broad Museum in LA

    An LA Instagrammer’s paradise. The Broad is a contemporary art museum in downtown, Los Angeles offering free general admission and rotating exhibitions that are unique.

  • Be an extra in the studio audience of a TV show

    LOL this one is a little niche, but if you can score tickets to be in the live filming of a TV show, DO IT! Here is a silly close-up of me and my best friend on the finale of season 14 of ‘The Bachelor’ (the episode when Colton runs away).

  • Take a stroll on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

    The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historical landmark with almost 3000 stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard. The stars contain names of famous actors, directors, producers, musicians, theatrical/musical groups, fictional characters, and others.

  • Visit Monterey Bay and Carmel-by-the-Sea

    My absolute favorite beach city to visit in the US. Monterey is home to so many beautiful places and great food, shopping, and landscapes. Make sure you visit the Monterey Aquarium when you visit.
