Boston Ultimate Travel Guide

Home to some of the country's richest history and yummiest food, Boston is the perfect melting pot of ivy-leaguers and hipsters. Boston is one of the oldest municipalities in the United States, and home to several key events of the American Revolution, such as the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the siege of Boston. Now a hub of culture in New England, Boston is one of the greatest cities in the USA and a great place to live or visit. Boston is absolutely freezing in the wintertime and for the majority of the season, you will have to be bundled up and wearing a parka. The sun also can set as early as 3:30 pm!  The easy answer on the best time to visit Boston is definitely the summer! Boston comes alive in the summer and temperatures are much more enjoyable for activities outside and sightseeing. Unless you have a reason to be visiting the city of Boston in the winter, try to plan your Boston weekend for this summer!

    Have a picnic along the Charles River

    Nothing beats gathering a squad of besties and hanging out in a park in the city. Along the Charles River lies the Esplanade in Boston. During the summer, this is a great place for a picnic and to watch the sunset.

    See where the Boston Tea Party happened

    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred due to Americans being angry with Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” so they dumped 342 chests of tea, into the harbor. Visit this spot and maybe even get a little weird and throw some tea in the water. So iconic of them.

    Whether you have dinner reservations or do a full-blown food tour, Boston is known for their ‘noms’. This trendy spot is a great place to visit on a trip to Boston. Their food and drinks are delicious and the vibes are on point.

    Walk the Freedom Trail

    The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile-long path through Boston, Massachusetts, that passes by 16 locations significant to the history of the United States. Marked largely with brick, it winds from Boston Common in downtown Boston through the North End to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown.
